The Salmon Bycatch Committee, formed in October 2022 by the North Pacific Fishery Management Council, is holding its second meeting on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 9am–5pm AKT. This meeting is virtual and open to the public.

Review the State of Alaska Bycatch Task Force Report and recommendations
Review the process and timeline for initiating an amendment/analysis
Discuss regulatory and non-regulatory management measures for consideration (for chum salmon)
Public testimony
The public is encouraged to listen and participate in this meeting. Written public comments can be submitted online by 5:00pm on Tuesday, January 24. There will be some opportunity for oral public testimony during the meeting.
