Recruiting for 2024 Drone Program

We are launching a drone educational program to provide training for local Kuskokwim community members to obtain a commercial drone license for fisheries research purposes! Students will learn about drones and their usage in fisheries and acquire hands-on experience and workforce development skills flying drones for data collection.
Led by Dr. Daniel Auerbach, this course will be held online April through May, culminating in a weeklong in-person workshop this summer. Students will take the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 license test at the conclusion of the course.
