District 4 Subsistence Fishery: Emergency Order #3-S-WB-01-24

This is an announcement from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) for subsistence fishermen in District 4, Quinhagak.

Subsistence fishing gillnets will be restricted to 6-inch or less mesh size not exceeding 50-fathoms in length and 45 meshes in depth; effective 12:01 a.m. Saturday, June 1 until 11:59 p.m. Monday, July 15, 2024.

Reminder to subsistence fishermen: In accordance with 5AAC 01.260. (c) Fishing seasons and periods District 4 subsistence fishing is closed on Sundays and 5AAC 01.270 (q) Lawful gear and gear specifications and operation only one gillnet may be operated per boat from June 1 through July 15.

Further announcements will be made from the Bethel Fish and Game office, on the State of Alaska web site (http://www.adfg.alaska.gov/index.cfm?adfg=cfnews.main), local radio stations, and Kuskokwim River Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/KuskoRiverFishingADFG/).
